Disclaimer: I received a Roadid to review as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!

I have had the same roadid for the last 5 years. I bought one after being tormented on the road by some less than scrupulous passersby in a white pick up truck.

Roadid gives me the peace of mind that God forbid something happens, someone will be able to contact my family. Sure; I typically run with my phone, but if I am incapacitated then how can I possibly use my phone.

Any way…I bought the silicone one a few years back and ita been pretty sturdy ever since. I have worn it so long that even if I thought about replacing it with the band on my Garmin; it would feel awkward to not have anything on my wrist…that being said; I have eyed-up the roadid which attaches to my Garmin watch band…

I digress. When presented with the opportunity to get a new one with Bibrave I was elated to try the canvas version.

In the last 5 years; roadid has really stepped up their game. The packaging is super premium and feels luxurious. When I received the package I was shocked that this was my roadid.

What’s more is the new canvas bracelets feel and look like they should be for going out; not running. But it holds up! And it still looks good.

I was really impressed that the silicone versions also came in the same packaging.

The other cool thing about roadid is the ability to keep you information current in an online repository. There is a serial number on the inside of the band where you can update contact info and medical info as it changes. This is huge for me, because my family doesn’t always port their phone number from carrier to carrier. For people like my wife; she has an allergy to penicillin but there may not be enough room in the bracelet.

Roadid is one of the few “running” supplies which has transitioned from running to life necessity. I have considered ordering one for my grandfather who has alzheimers and one for my father because it’s a great inexpensive insurance policy.

I recommend these to everyone I talk to and never leave home without it!
