After all this COVID-19, self quarantine, 6ft. apart nonsense I am starting to plan my 2021 race season. Maybe I am a little presumptuous; but I want to treat my wife (aaaand maybe the kiddos) to a nice vacation. But what’s a vacation without running? #Runcation #HaveRunWillTravel.
Its been a while since my last ‘destination’ race and longer since my last international race. Last year we were not able to attend the BibRave destination Race; so this will make up for it 🙂
I’ve run official international marathon’s in Berlin, Germany and Montreal, Canada. I guess it’s time for south of the border!
I’ve been to the Bahamas in the past, but not as an adult and not as a runner. I think one of the things I am most looking forward to is the 0-dark 30 start. With this being a tropical climate the race has to start early to avoid being out in the hottest part of the day.
Another thing I think is notable about the race is their dedication to charity! One hundred percent of the net proceeds raised in The Bahamas, remain in The Bahamas. No matter who you are or what you do, you can help fight breast cancer and support breast cancer awareness 365 days a year…and I am happy to be a part of that impact.
