Whelp; seeing as how this pandemic is not going anywhere fast, I’ve been on the market for a reusable face covering. I have used my neck gaiter and buff style multi function cloth headwear items but truthfully; I need a mask.

Less so for exercising; the mask is really convenient for work. Yes; work. Normally I post about running and running related stuff. Now you get to receive insight into my real life.

I don’t know if I can be considered a “front line” worker; but as it stands between March and May I had 7 days off from work. I have not taken a sick or vacation day since…October when I ran the Chicago Marathon (maybe NYC but even then I think I went back in on Monday…) My company has been continuously operating (and hiring if you are interested/in need) since this pandemic started. I believe the only reason I have had days off since May is that I have been working nights, rather than days…and even then I worked 6of the last 10 Fridays…

Enough complaining

I merely wanted to paint a picture of why I am looking for a more permanent face covering solution. Every day I take a blue mask and wear it for 12 hours (+/- the times I am eating or drinking)

Me.. duh

I have a difficult time disposing of the mask at the end of my shift because its not like I’m sneezing into it or sick. I know I have to…but it feels wasteful. I know the mask I use is designed for single use but the body helix mask is made from a closed-cell technology fabric prevents potential asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic transmission and the included filters add another layer of protection.

I will create a post after I receive mine to let you all know what I think!
