I have signed up for another virtual race.
This one is to help keep me sane. And because I like the swag….
The Allstate Hot Chocolate series has to be one of my favorite events. They provide a reliable experience each time. The provide decent swag each time and they offer a unique distance each time.
Since this is a virtual race, I’ve decided to carve out a new route.
Some of the options on my list are creating a route which passes by my house so I don’t have to bring water.
And some of them include routes which I know can allow for a warm up and cool down.
What I like about running virtual races is the course can be familiar or the course can be new, its totally up to me and how I feel.
As with any ‘race’ I should make a plan and stick to it, but lets be real…its a virtual race…
I would have loved to bring my wife out to Denver for the In Person event, but 2020 hasn’t been too forgiving when it comes to travel, or events, or well….anything really.
I was in Colorado for a race last year and I had to fly in and out of Denver.
That would have been a great experience for us.
Maybe next year.
This year I get a sweet hooded coat, a sweet finisher medal and of course packets of Hot Chocolate…and I get to create the route that I want.
If you want to join me there is still time to sign up at Allstate Hot Chocolate Virtual 15k/5k – Denver
